10 MARINDUQUE ESCAPADE
Four BP Girls explored the heart of the Philippines - Marinduque. Hitting the beautiful beaches, island hopping, resort bumming and a little bit of caving were the sweetest escape for the girls.
09 ANGAT DAM @ NORZAGARAY, BULACAN
The BACKPACKERS got mesmerized by the hidden beauty of Norzagaray, Bulacan - particularly in Angat Dam, a hydroelectric power plant that supplies most of the electricity in Central Luzon and Metro Manila. It is also the birthday trip for BP Heinz and we celebrated it in Bulacan's little Baguio: GuestHouse at Hilltop. Click here to view the adventure
08 BANTAKAY FALLS & MT. PINAGBANDERAHAN @ ATIMONAN, QUEZON
We enjoyed exploring the mountainous part of Atimonan, Quezon - swimming at the beautiful Bantakay Falls, conquering the historic Mt. Pinagbanderahan and the memorable bonding at Atimonan Zigzag Park. Click here to view the adventure
07 MT. DAGULDOL @ SAN JUAN, BATANGAS
It was a wacky and crazy year starter climb in Batangas as twelve BACKPACKERS climbed one of the must climb minor mountain near Manila, Mt. Daguldol. We had fun playing on its wide peak. After the climb, we refreshed ourselves swimming at Hugom beach! Click here to view the adventure
06 MT. HUMALOPHOP @ HINGYON, IFUGAO
An adventure filled trip to Ifugao where we visited three towns: Lagawe, Banaue and Hingyon. It was a memorable climb at Mt. Humalophop where we conducted an outreach activity. Trekking along the rice terraces with the breathtaking vistas around was priceless. An added bonus: seeing the majestic Banaue Rice Terraces and dancing with the Ifugao natives at the ethnic ensemble. Click here to view the adventure
05 MT. UGU TRAVERSE @ NUEVA VIZCAYA - BENGUET
We would not trade our awesome experience doing the very loooong traverse route of Mt. Ugu! This is the venue of the only induction climb for 2013 where we welcomed Kenji, Mau and Wilson to the BP family! We conducted an outreach activity in Domolpos Elementary School - nestled near Mt. 04 SURVIVOR ZAMBALES: BACKPACKERS VS. GUESTS
A one of a kind experience: organizing and participating in our version of the game Survivor. The competitive Backpackers battled it out with guests. The most memorable part of the event was the Final Tribal Council held in Potipot Island, where BP Ghei won 2nd place. A very successful event made possible by the organizers and the fierce competitors. Click here to view the adventure
03 BOHOL ADVENTURE
A very memorable and productive trip was during our ultimate adventure touring the beautiful island province of Bohol. We went to countless places including the scenic Loboc River, tarsier conservation center and the famous Chocolate Hills! We had a blast swimming at the beaches of Balicasag and Pungtud Islands in Panglao where we also had an amazing encounter with wild dolphins and sea turtle. Click here to view the adventure
02 PROJECT ALBUERA @ ALBUERA, LEYTE
Super typhoon Yolanda brought destruction to the country. Along with other volunteer groups, The BACKPACKERS headed to the most affected province of Leyte to conduct an outreach activity to help more than a thousand families. It was an adventure with a heart for all of the BPs who participated in this mission. Click here to view the adventure
01 MT. APO TRAVERSE @ DAVAO DEL SUR - COTABATO
The best rated adventure for 2013 was when several members of the group conquered Philippines' highest mountain: Mt. Apo. Doing its Kapatagan - Kidapawan traverse route, we were treated to an incredible experience through its grasslands, forests, boulder section, Lake Venado area, mossy forest up to river trekking before exiting at Cotabato. We also had a lot of sidetrips during this adventure: Davao Crocodile Park, butterfly sanctuary, zip line and zorb park. Click here to view the adventure
